Sectioned perpendicularly to figure 39 the acidosome-like vesicle (ac) has a bull’s eye appearance with the invagination appearing in the middle of the vesicle. Other vesicles contain multiple layers resembling multilipid layers. Two vesicles with thick membranes and flocculent material may be lysosomes (ly). Membranes of lysosomes of other cells tend to be thicker and have a polysaccharide luminal coat and do not have invaginations. per, peroxisome. EM taken on 7/15/67 by R. Allen with Philips 200 TEM.
