This micrograph shows a filled ampulla of a radial arm (#10 of CVC in
Figures 5 to 9) connected to its collecting canal. Most of the
surrounding smooth spongiome has been incorporated into the expanded
ampulla as well as the collecting canal although excess smooth
spongiome (ss) still remains around the collecting canal. In
addition decorated spongiome (ds) appears, but only around the
collecting canal as it is always absent from the vicinity of the
ampulla. (Section #66 from same series as Figures 5 to 9). EM taken on
