This micrograph shows the restricted necks of three ampullae near the
CV all of which are connected to the CV in diastole (as seen in
Figures 10 and 11). All necks consist of the ends of the ampullae
surrounded by microtubules and a mat of smooth spongiome tubules but
no decorated spongiome. These are extensions of ribbons 3, 4, 5 and 6
in Figure 10, some 75 sections deeper into the cell. EM taken on
