| Enlargement of cross sections of several ribbons lying against the CV membrane. Microtubules are regularly bound together in a ribbon which is itself tightly bound to the membrane. The ribbons provide the framework along which the CV membranes expand and collapse and which give the CVC its overall radial integrity as one complex organelle. EM taken on 3/21/80 by R.
