| A grazing section through the CV pore shows part of the helically coiled microtubule band and the origins of some of the microtubular ribbons that pass over the CV and are bound to the membrane of the CV. The alveolar sacs (al) do not cover the pore but end at the apex of the pore. EM taken on 4/8/80 by R. Allen with Hitachi HU11A TEM. Neg. 18,000X. Bar = 0.2µm. Published in J.
