The spent vacuole membrane in the process of undergoing vesiculation
and retrieval from the cytoproct. The membrane is surrounded or
embedded by a microfilamentous system. This system presumably provides
forces that cause tubulation of the vacuole membrane and for pinching
off of the membrane into the cytosol. One lip of the cytoproct ridge
(cyp) is seen covered by the alveolar sac (al). Another
spent vacuole (DV-IV) waits to be discharged from the cell. EM taken
