| Lysosomes are spherical to ovate bodies that have a moderate number of IMPs on their E-fracture face (Ely) as seen in this quick-freeze deep-etch image. The image of this membrane resembles the image of the E-face (Edv) of the DV-III or phagolysosome membrane that lies nearby. EM taken on 6/3/88 by C. Schroeder with Zeiss 10A TEM. Neg. 24,800X.
