Acidosomes are surrounded by a thin meshwork of microfilaments that is particularly prominent in the space between the acidosome and the DV-I and that fills the indentations that protrude into acidosomal lumens. Small blebs form at or near the rims of the fusion site (arrow) between the acidosome and the DV-I. EM taken on 8/16/80 by R. Allen with Hitachi HU11A TEM. Neg. 31,500X. Bar = 0.2µm.
