| Conventional freeze fracture demonstrates that the indentations into the acidosome lumens (arrows) are continuous with the acidosome membrane by small necks. Again the E-face (Eac) of both the surrounding membrane and of the indentation is relatively smooth while the P-face (Pac) of the indentation has many IMPs. DV-I, phagosome. EM taken on 1/19/82 by R.
