When acidosomes fuse with the DV-I (0-3 min old) membrane (arrows) they transfer their antigens to the membrane of the phagosome. The mAb used here is to the L1 antigen and, like D6, is found mostly on acidosomes and DV-II. Only areas of the DV-I membrane that contain fused acidosome membrane contain this antigen.
