| The cone-shaped tip of a trichocyst stands up from the surrounding fractured cytosolic plane. This is decorated with radially arranged striations of unknown molecular composition. The surrounding cytosol contains segments of infraciliary lattice (il), basal bodies (bb) and the IMP studded P-face of the inner alveolar membrane (iam). EM taken on 6/22/88 by C.
