In quick-freeze deep-etch micrographs it is not easy to distinguish
peroxisomes from surrounding organelles. The organelle at the top of
this micrograph may be a peroxisome (per) based on its finely
granular content. Also the elongated vesicle showing a porous
E-fracture face in the middle may also be a peroxisome (per?).
Several mitochondria (m) and the porous E-face of the smooth
spongiome (ss) of the CVC (associated with a microtubular
ribbon (mt)) are present. lip, lipid. EM taken on
6/22/88 by C. Schroeder with Zeiss 10A TEM. Neg. 15,900X. Bar =
0.25µm.
