More typical dictyosomes of P. multimicronucleatum are the
small highly vesiculated units shown here in tangential section. The
COP-II coated transition vesicles often have an indentation
(arrowhead). The cisternae are not coated so their membranes
appear to be thinner than the vesicles. However, at their mature end
the cisternae bear clathrin-coated vesicles (cov). This cell
was from a two-day old culture after transferring the cells into fresh
medium so the cells were actively multiplying. er, endoplasmic
